Hi. been reading the forum for a while and seems like a great Place for good advice.
I currently have a Porsche 996 c4s which I’ve had for nearly 8 years, and yes it has had to have an engine rebuild
I’ve been looking at early Ferrari calis but the rear seats don’t look good enough even for the two boys under 3 we have.
So been looking at grandcabrios, there a stunning looking car.
How do you guys find them reliability wise?
Is there anything to be wary of when looking for one. There’s a really nice looking one at John Holland in Sheffield.
Also do I trade the Porsche in and get a newer Maserati or keep the Porsche and go for an older version And have both. It owes me nothing and is still worth what I paid for it nearly 8 years ago.
Thanks in advance for any replies

Grancabs just look so cool and subtle compared to a Cali and of course I think they have more rear legroom

I have been keeping an eye on your website as you seem to be the man to go to.

Unfortunately at the moment there’s only one car on there, that shows how busy we’ve been as we usually have 8-10 cars at any one time. Always looking...

I was very tempted by a GranCab but the boot was just too small ... it makes no sense to me that a genuine 4 seater can carry no more than a flight bag.

It can’t be any smaller than a Porsche Frunk can it??
It won’t be the daily car.
I have had 3 GTs, would have gone for the Grancabrio if the boot was similar sized to the GT. It is a great car for European trips, I had 2 young kids as well when I first bought, and it was (still is) practical for a family of 4, the boot of GT is big enough for a one week break in Europe, but don’t think Grancabrio would have worked.

my GTs have been more reliable than the mercs I have had. Grancabrio is such a great car for you to enjoy the exhaust sound with the roof down, just need to be sure the boot is big enough for your needs.

Thanks for that. The boot space is not 2 much of an issue as we do have another car/pickup.
the wife would be using it for the school run a couple of times a week. (And a bit of weekend fun) When they eventually get back.
cant think of anything else that looks and sounds as good for the money.

Exactly, that is why I kept coming back to it, because I could not find any an alternative that looks and sounds so good, and sits 4 in comfort.
