You only need glance at some of the newer Rolls Royce's and how they've been specified by their owners to get a sense of automotive 'bad taste'... the Kim Kardashian crowd etc.

Indeed, in the main they seem to have passed on blinging up too many Maseratis.

Get your skates on. Black 2010 GTS on eBay for under 21k!
Not a low mileage one, well not in the Maserati meaning of low miles, but not actually high at 62k for a 10 year old car!

Wonder what the dealer paid for it!? Must have got a bargain there.
Maybe it’s one of those situations where it’s traded in to a main dealer who doesn’t really know what it is, using the ‘book’ price, who in turn just trades it out to one of the local dealers he moves his trade-ins to, who also doesn’t really know what it is.

Or, there’s something wrong with it and its not even worth 20k! Looks good though, if the usual stuff checks out could be a good buy for someone, surely mileage of 62k is not worth 11k less than 13k miles?

In my opinion it is easily justifiable as the 13k miles car was very clean and tidy. If the 62k miles car passed a ppi I’d have it. I’d take an educated guess that it won’t do, which is why I haven’t wasted my time and money having a ppi done on the car.

Even if it wasn't 100% clean and tidy, at that price it's surely going to sell - would be interesting to see if it ends up in the hands of anyone here, and if they indeed get it inspected prior!

I think you should change your forum name to 'GTS Hunter' ;):D First for all your M139 Sport GTS needs...

I’m sure Mr Grace spots them all before me!

But my autotrader/ebay surfing habit for all sorts of cars (not just GTS’s!) has dramatically increased in recent months due to Covid enforced slumping on the sofa.
Someone needs to give me a real job!

I am pretty quick, and am often offered the cars before they appear on the market. I’d buy this QP, or the 4.2 Sport GT in Lancing that has been mentioned but I know from experience there’s about a 1% chance of it passing inspection so I decided against it as I’ve loads of stock due in this week and next.

1% chance of passing an inspection? That’s low. If applied over the 60 in the uk then only about half of 1 car would pass!
It doesn’t mention much about the history though..

Although it does say this one has been ‘carefully selected’ and has had a ‘82 point RAC check’ ... ;)

I don’t do ‘coming soon’ as sometimes it is before I’ve picked up the cars and I don’t want to tempt fate. I have 3 GT Sports here and 2 other cars due in the next couple of days.

I’d suggest that’s correct. I’ve sold about 600 Maseratis and I can count on one hand the cars that’ve required NOTHING at inspection. I can tell you the Lancing car would fail an inspection as it has an EML on ;)

Yes, I see your point, they are secondhand cars of a certain age, and will not be perfect of course. All, apart from the 1%, will need something as would any make of car.
The issue of course is what that something is....£1000 or £10000!

But obviously you know the average cost of bringing an old QP up to (your) retail standard.
I suppose this cost is not reducing as the cars get older!

Very few cars are perfect and those that are cheaper the price usually reflects the condition, you pays your money you takes your choice.
The car is now sold !

Yes, apparently it had fMsh so I am surprised they didn’t mention that in the advert.
Dyer did you buy it?

anyone have any thoughts on what an acceptable price would be on the white one?

what do you think dickygrace?

Well, I like it.
I'd have a deposit down on that (subject to a subframe, variator check and a discussion with Marios). It would then be a keeper with all wood stripped out and trim re-wrapped in carbon.
Possible gun metal grey wheel re-spray too.
Perfect.
Wattie
Did you get this GTS? Would love to see it after you have done the personalisations.

I can’t express an opinion on a car I don’t know. It’s worth somewhere between £20k-£35k depending on condition. A PPI will reveal this.

ooh this Sport GTS looks a good specification and perhaps another dealer not as nerdy as us lot " Part leather interior " pfft. Alcantara seat inserts is perfect. the door trims seem to have survived pretty well though.
