No launches. They can still put ICE engines in cars up to 2030 so long as they were launched before 2025. If the previous GT is anything to go by it’ll be fine.

2035 for hybrid, but suspect most manufactures will have moved away from them by then

Are you getting any indication in the trade as to how they will price the new GT?

Yes 2035, so everything will have a little supplementary electric motor to conform with the regulations .
Just bought an A5 Sportback and that has an 18hp electric motor as part of the drive system and a bigger than average battery where the spare wheel should go. Mild hybrid they call it.

The Germans are pushing to keep ICE, burning renewable fuel, beyond the advertised dates.

The Italian government is lobbying on behalf of their, low volume, supercar makers for an exemption to the ban on ICE engines.

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

@bigbob Inflation takes car of a lot of the uplift, but the car will also be significantly more advanced too.
There is still a long way from that to £130-160k. It’s funny that we get a lot of real price drops in technology and electronics but with cars it is not the case. No wonder auto margins have increased so much.

I look forward to seeing the new Granturismo but I won’t be buying one.
