The squidgy seats come in the 2014+ 4 seat Strad though, so you could go for that. And I really don’t think the box will be an issue, especially if it’s mainly a weekend car. If you managed with an old F430, the more modern system in the Strad will be fine for you.

The problem with the 2 seat Strad idea is finding one. Typically only 1, or maybe 2, crop up for sale each year. But if you find one, buy it. If it so transpires, say a year down the line, that’s it’s not for you, you’ll get your money back. You might even make a modest profit.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

My search in order of preference will probably be: -

  • 2 or 4 Seater Stradale
  • 2013+ GTS Sport (MC Auto Shift) in a rare colour (ideally a dark blue or dark red and black interior) with a spec generous on the carbon

As suggested will need to test drive some first which may be easier said than done with Covid.

I would go with the MC shift rather than auto as I don't think you get the down blip with the auto?

If we are talking the 2013+ MC Auto box then yes you do.

It also opens the exhaust valves when in sport & manual from any RPM (not just higher RPM) reverse parks up hills fine, is joyous in typical British traffic oww and never needs a new clutch.

I‘d take the later (perfectly matched for a Grand Tourer) MC auto on a Granturismo & leave the MC shift for the Stradale.

I spotted that. If that was a Coupe then I would certainly have been interested as I really like the colour.

On the topic of that car... I am pretty sure I spotted this same car up for £94k at a dealer.
100% was the same car as I’m after a centennial but want blue not red or white

Went for £83k in the end (not sure if that included £commission or not).
