Main limitation is boiler only holds enough for 4 cups before refil. But so little to go wrong as no pump, and you can pretend your a barista in how fast you pull the shot etc . A

One of the 'variables' is your local water supply! The only way to reliably compare coffee or tea to find your ideal is to use a bottled water to at least get a repeatable result.
Anyone tried Swedish boiling coffee?
You don't get easier! Flat bottom glass flask (Pyrex or similar) coarse ground coffee, bring to just under boil, leave a minute to settle then pour off coffee!!

P.s. it's banned in some places as unhealthy!

I prefer bean to cup, I had a Jura which lasted 10yrs before the brew unit died - we tried a Nespresso machine and whilst the coffee is good the cost and waste of the pods stopped us. Now have a Melitta Solo bean to cup which is much cheaper to run, however it does mean excessive use and caffeine intake!
How are you getting on with the Melitta.

Dualit do a press that removes the spent coffee so the aluminium capsules can be recycled
