Really! That'd be interesting to hear. I know who I sold it to back in 2001 and he blew the gearbox. Thought that was the end of it. I'd be surprised if its still around and not a lump of rust..

I checked the mot status and it’s Sorn. I’ve been looking through his Facebook photos to see if I can see it. Will let you know if I find anything.

This probably my oldest one I have with a picture. Had it when I was 17.....Thought I was the bees knees at that age with a 2 seater.

The X1/9 was by far the most tail happy car I’ve ever been in.
In the wet 20mph round a roundabout and out comes the ar5e! Comical!

It's a 1958 Domi fitted with a tuned 750cc Atlas engine and few Manx bits, it was quite quick in its day. I still have the registration plate fitted to my Mas.

My first car. Bought from my neighbour, the original owner who had greased the hinges and cleaned it every weekend in his brown overalls. I rolled it and wrote it off 6 weeks later discovering oversteer tank slappers..... Called home to be collected but nobody there so called the neighbour who drove me home in silence and I don't recall him speaking to me again!

I had one of those as my first car....Blue...It ended up with a Richard Grant front spoiler....Shocking it was but I was only 17.

A couple more of the Europa. I loved it, even though it leaked like a sieve, and soaked up into the seat. Sold it around '83. Wonder where it is now, it doesn't appear on any searches.

My first Lotus was a Renault engined beastie, then I went onto Elans. I'll dig out a couple of photos when I have a moment and post them. I lived out at Lunanhead when I was heavily involved with Elans. That was between 1973 and 1985.

I only ever did one Lotus track day back then, it was with a 1968 S3 Elan which was maroon in colour. Normally I just did my own thing

Like that John. alwYs had a soft spot for the Z4. Went to the Paris Motorshow for the unveiling and came back and got myself on the waiting list. Never took delivery though as was offered a good price for my place on the list a month before delivery.
