Yeah, my Dad had one too! A dark blue Ghia with the 2.8 (cologne V6?) engine. It was the first car we had with electric windows! Was also the first time I (knowingly) experienced an indicated 110mph, the thing was nearly rattling to bits I seem to remember. I'm sure my Dad said that it still had more to go, but that he wasn't sure the tyres would take it. I would have been about 8 at the time :)

Dads was a 2.8 as well ... It was bronze sort of colour if my memories serves me right....It was like a boat...

Better looking than the replacement Granada, that was just junk, and expensive junk.

Do you mean the frog eyed Scorpio of the late nineties or the bigger version of the Sierra one?
The frog eyed one was utter gash, but I quite liked the late 80's early 90's version, especially with the Cossie lump in it.
