Yeah, my Dad had one too! A dark blue Ghia with the 2.8 (cologne V6?) engine. It was the first car we had with electric windows! Was also the first time I (knowingly) experienced an indicated 110mph, the thing was nearly rattling to bits I seem to remember. I'm sure my Dad said that it still had more to go, but that he wasn't sure the tyres would take it. I would have been about 8 at the time

Do you mean the frog eyed Scorpio of the late nineties or the bigger version of the Sierra one?
The frog eyed one was utter gash, but I quite liked the late 80's early 90's version, especially with the Cossie lump in it.

Admittedly, it did take quite a while to find a half decent picture... sometimes memories are best left as that

They are both horrid, the Scorpio was the worst, cost about 28k new.
