One of those weeks

All first world problems I know, but I have had a frustrating week too:

1) GT40 trundled to a halt on a test/setup day at Snetterton. After the shame of recovery by the Marshalls it seems to be a lack of spark so currently sorting out parts for the Mallory distributor so it looks like it won’t be able to go to Silverstone this weekend.

2) The Z4 then decides the drivers door inner and outer handles won’t work, so drop the hood and have to clamber over Dukes of Hazzard style! Fixed with a new Bowden cable, but getting the door card off to fix when the door was jammed shut was a pain, needing to dismantle part of the dashboard

3). Broke a tooth end of 2020 and due to COVID it’s taken till now to get the implant base in and impressions taken to make the new tooth. Have final appointment to fit it next week when on Tuesday I broke another tooth in half on a peach stone…. another 12 months and £2k all over again.

They say things come in 3’s so hopefully that’s it. Fingers crossed.

Real pity about the GT40, often we describe these as teething problems ;)

Try telling that to my wife! When I got home late with it broken on the trailer she blasted me in full “hairdryer” mode. “You spent how many funking hundreds of thousands of £££ on a car I can’t or even want to have a ride in and you broke it on the 2nd time out on track? You really are a self-indulgent W…..er”. Ouch!

Now you have us wondering if that broken tooth really was caused by a peach stone :D

Not good just had to take Mrs Z to the dentist, she hates needles so they had to fully sedate her to remove a broken tooth, just shy of €1000 for less than an hours work - I'm in the wrong job

Harsh! And I thought my wife sometimes forgets to sugar-coat how she feels.
