Indeed Mark. But blue MC GranCabs and/or MC Strads are a tad thin on the ground!
The opportunity to buy this particular car just happened to fall into my lap and I couldn't say no. And it's not as if metallic black is a shabby option.

No colour better than black when it's pristine and clean, note I say when :D

I love mine and will get another Black one for sure as Carbonio suits the GT best. Menacing and elegant at the same time.

I had a call from a friend that runs a car storage place. A client of his bought this new, and after 5 years has decided to move it on. The last 4 Masers that I have bought have all been purchased without them ever reaching the open market.
There were quite a few available when I was half looking last year - now I could be tempted and there aren't any... Maserati's loss and Ferraris Gain I suppose.

Here's the gist of the process, with the brands used highlighted:

Wash wheels with "Evolution" wheel cleaner.
"Bubbly Jubbly" snow foam bath for a touchless wash.
Rinse, then hand wash with "Envy Shampoo" (2 bucket method).
Treat hood with "Renovo" hood cleaner.
Rinse, apply "Iron Awe" fallout remover, rinse again.
Clay bar to remove further contaminants.
Measure paint thickness, followed by 2 stage machine polish.
Wipe with "Filler Killer".
Apply "IGL Quartz" diamond infused coating.
Clean engine bay, dress tyres, clean tailpipes, clean glass, etc.
Hoover interior and boot. Clean leather with "Dr Leather" wipes.

Final bill was £750 + Vat = £900. Much of such a bill is in the time taken on the machine polishing stage, so it would be easy to save/spend £100 or so either way.
