Hi

Save me digging through the incomprehensible manual but coming round a roundabout and on the dash yellow light came on saying "Park ON or OFF" can't remember which as in the midst of that got a call from Jeep to say water pump replacement on the compass which is 3 years old and 22k miles is £1200 !!!!! madness,.

If it's asking the question tell it .......OFF, could be a sensor, you could always try stopping, let the handbrake go on, then gear and proceed, see what happens..??

Yep, had gone into GreyPaul to have this done before picked it up and the squeaky windows which they seem to have made worse and now there is noise in the cabin. Calling Bowkers tomorrow to get booked in there, also seems USB not working as well... doesn't charge anything or see device at all.

In Bowkers on Tuesday but not covered under warranty, GrayPaul had the car before I picked it up for

Squeaking windows
Park Off coming on whilst driving.

Now its going into Bowkers for the above but also lots of cabin noise whilst driving which i think there has been some deadening left out when putting it all back together as my motorhome is quieter.

Challenge is not covered under warranty so now have to sit in the middle to get all resolved, also the car has had a new NIT unit fitted as well and it seems that for some reason and not sure if anyone else has had this but the USB doesn't charge a phone and the head unit doesn't see it at all its as if its not been powered up, or plugged in.

The head unit does see the AUX socket as that flags up.

So here is hoping get these niggles sorted out, getting used to weird box in that on hills it rolls backwards if in 1st and not giving it power... is that right ?

Thought you took out a warranty direct policy? If so the Luxury care cover would cover all the above apart from the cabin noise ?

The Maserati extended warranty covers these sorts of things. Is your's something else?

Its Maserati year 5, but its limited apparently... which I didn't know and the trader wasn't aware either as it had been back to GrayPaul for other parts and they hadn't charged him.

Speaking to Bowkers in 15 minutes and hoping can resolve between us all.

Yep got price and ready to go but wasn't going to take out until the Maserati warranty expired on March 8th, which Ive now found out covers only engine and gearbox.

The Maserati extended warranties for years 4 & 5 are really comprehensive, ditto the one year used car warranties. It's the 6 & 7 year extended warranties which are drivetrain only.

Found the spec - year 5 was until march 2014.

This now has CPO lim 12 warranty on it until March 2015 - is that year 6 warranty ?

Here is the page:

Seems they do a used car 'lite' warranty which you appear to have. I think that it is because the car was over 5 years old when it was bought last time.

So for used cars bought at a Maserati dealer under five years old they will do a comprehensive warranty, from five to six years old a drivetrain only warranty and over 6 years old, the dealers' must have to purchase a warranty elsewhere. That said most franchise dealers will not retail cars this old - same with most brands - so it's probably rarely an issue for them.

Nope, on the machine no faults showing so one of those "happens when it happens"

Now have a warranty on paid by the chap I bought if off that covers £2000 limit so can get this booked in to sort out the window/cabin noise and USB socket. Im so tempted to take the USB socket out myself and check its actually connected as its definitely linked to the back of the car NIT unit... if its connected in the glovebox and power then its a fault in the cabling.

Apart from that odd quirk but she just purrs... just been out for a little spin at lunch.
