Parts from Eurospares

Rookie question so apologies:

I’m trying to pick up a few bits from Eurospares but they are showing as ‘New Special Order’ eg chassis plates.

does that mean they don’t have stock and will sit on my money until they get some? Or does it mean I have to wait until Maserati make some more?

the q&a on the site says this:
Special order parts will need to be ordered in from the factory and depending on the Manufacturer can take between 5-14 days to arrive to our warehouse.

TIA

It means they have to order it from the factory. If you log in you can see their supplier stock by clicking on the little question mark. As of 6 days ago there were more than 500 in stock. So not a very long wait. Just a long wait.

Yes, the web site is a pain.

Don't forget the 10% discount at Meridian. Ross can normally get pretty close to eurospares prices and it is quicker. You can email Ross with your vin and list of parts and he will email costs etc. He is really helpful to talk to also.
You also have Scuderia. Sometimes they are cheaper sometimes not.

Yeah I got mine from Scuderia last year. Was slightly dearer, but were in stock and delivered within a couple of days.

Edit - Actually, not dearer, and in stock.

Also, if your checking for rusty bits to replace or tart up before getting undersealed, it's worth removing your front half of your front wheel arch liner there's a plate in there (headlight support bracket) that seems to corrode almost as quick as the chassis plates. If its not too bad, can just be cleaned and better protected, as they are about £75 each.

Thanks all for the tips on Meridian, Scuderia & the headlight brackets
I had already ordered through Eurospares before I read the posts, annoying as I could have fitted them on the bank holiday.

still waiting for a quote on cam cover gaskets fitted from Shiltech, I’ll be getting under sealed at the same time probably.

doing bits and bobs myself in the meantime.
