Hi all
Anyone covered/painted what I'm assuming is the heat protection for the fuel tank?
You can see it looking sort of a lighter under the rear centre diffuser.
Dosen't look great from a distance.
Was looking at potentially making it darker if possible

The fuel tank is behind the rear seat, so it’s probably not for that. You can probably paint the underbody shield, but if it is the thin aluminium type you might find it hard to keep the paint on it.

If it’s shiny aluminium a lot of its heat protection will be from reflecting the heat so painting it black will reduce its effectiveness

you need all the heat dissipation you can get back there due to the exhausts... the boot is hot under normal conditions.

Hi
Not sure to be honest.
It sits behind where the centre sitter is.
Sort of like a textured white/grey coating

Yeah its the base of the boot.
Just wondered if it could be darkened a bit without losing its heat protection
