When I was about 6 my best mate's older brother told me stand against the yard wall (no gardens in Bolton then or now) and he'd throw darts around me like a knife-thrower in the circis.

So I did.

First dart stuck in my kneecap, short kecks and all, god that hurt, no blood bit it hurt. when to me mum, she pulled it out, stuck a plaster on me knee and out I went to play again.
What a woos, in Scotland we used to leave the dart in.

Certainly very hot but was a Cool place with the Red Sea and Dessert everywhere hence motorbikes.
The Oldman did a few years with Saudia airlines which gave me and my brothers loads of standby travel.

1970'S Secondary School in the Black Country put your front door key into the earth of a 3 pin socket opening the bottom two pins and insert a paper clip.
Pull key out and stretch your arm and flick the switch on.
Bang !
Sometimes blowing it off the wall.
Still alive though.
Super Glue in door locks.
School caretaker used to get well píssed off.

My brother in law is an electrician , in the 80s he marched into school with his angry face on and the latest project his daughter bought home in his hand.

the kids had been given a plug and 2ft of 3 core cable then shown how to wire it up safely , only she came home with something that if she'd decided to put it in the wall could've killed her so not that safe.
