So I think you are saying "You can't protest about racial injustice, if you are rich, use legal methods to avoid taxes, or are in any way associated with any organisation that has a slavery-related past." Is that right? Or, to put it another way, "You can only protest about racial injustice if you are poor, on PAYE, and have bought just about nothing in your life."

Or, to put it (yet) another way, "Whenever I see a protest about racial injustice, I am immediately looking for a way to bat it away, by saying things like, 'But he is rich' or 'But she is loud' or 'But he is only a cricketer' or 'But there was looting, too' or 'But what about black-on-black violence' or 'But what about those Muslims in Rotherham' or 'But I grew up poor, so I wasn't privileged' or .....

But, ahem, what about racial injustice....

Have you considered professional help?

I ask as you recommended a pro Trump mask to me earlier and I’ve never uttered a word for him?

And we're all friends again...

I think I said it on an thread a while back, but some people need to give their Maseratis an Italian tune up.

Obviously he has been discriminated against all his life; I mean, getting to be the highest paid sportsman in UK history is obviously a triumph of will power over the racists that have tried to blight his every career move. Well done him. Perhaps he and Tiger Woods can tell the world how tough it is becoming fabulously rich as a black sportsman. Perhaps they could get all the Black Prem league footballers, black American Pro footballers, black Basketball players, black baseball players and black tennis players to join in as well. I for one wish them well after a life of hardship and discrimination. Oh, and get Obama to write a message as well saying you can’t get anywhere in politics as a black man. That should do the trick. Up the BLM.

Spent some time in Prague’s Science and Technology museum a couple of years ago and was blown away by the engineering prowess. Bikes, cars and ‘planes were all world leading... they’d never make a phone that couldn’t orient its photos properly.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that one, "But what about rich sportsmen and performers who are black? But what about over 50% of Washington DC cops being black? But what about Oprah? But what about that President who was black? What about Trevor McDonald? I bought some 'Black Farmer' sausages once. etc etc etc That just proves there isn't any discrimination."

It is very easy to knock down the claim that 'no black people can succeed' and 'all white people have it easy'. But nobody is actually making that claim. The point is that most white people do not get harassed or oppressed or disadvantaged just because of the colour of their skin (even if they have other problems), and most black people do (even if they manage to reach the top anyway).

And if you feel you have to put up fake 'but what about' arguments to resist accepting that well-proven problem, and doing something about it, then as someone once said, "Have you considered professional help?"
