That’s possibly the worst piece of car design I’ve ever seen. Did the dozen people who did it never actually meet?

Naff plastic car, naff plastic grass.

I’m impressed by the way they have trained the ivy on the wall in the background. I also spotted it in the Roma thread. Very Italianate!
I think that might be green wall pocket planters, as you get on many Marks & Spencers today...

There was rental in Silverstone a few years back that was an indoor farm, it was only noticed when a police helicopter was out on a training exercise one night and the thermal camera picked up the hot spot from the air.

Watched a documentary last night on one of my ultimate 'Hero's'.............Muhammad Ali. It was the stories behind 10 of the most photographs taken of him. I had forgotten the amount of sh!t he had to go through to get to where he was, and the horrible way he left us. These are some of the brilliant photo's that featured...

I once worked at Equitable Life.
He agreed to do an ad for us back in the day- a very rare thing.
The greatest boxer and the worlds greatest sales force.

Unfortunately our actuaries fecked it up and we went bust. A scandal at the time.

It was a Ponzi scheme!
(had to be said)
It was accused of being both a pyramid and a Ponzi scheme (it was arguably the UK’s most respected investment co and insurer at the time.....it was over 238 years old).

just about every law Society member /barrister/judge etc used it over all others.

When it collapsed I think that’s when I started noticing that perceived smart people in general (actuaries, regulators, analysts etc) actually know bugger all.

Smalll world!

I worked for Equity & Law at the time (and not that many miles away from EL head office in Aylesbury) and recall the fall out ..... and telling clients we were a different firm. A few years later, E&L was purchased by AXA and the name lost.

Richard Dunn a one time opponent of M Ali was also a scaffolder on my oil rig back in the day.
For entertainment after shift he (Richard) presented a film show and commentary of his bout with said Ali
All entrance monies to the film show and talk went to charity.
The evening was very entertaining and one story Richard told was that during the contest Ali said to Richard something like
'You have been very brave, now it is time for a little sleep'
Richard woke some time later and described Ali as simply a wonderful athlete and a Gentleman too

(hello again)
