Welcome! A fine choice you have in cars (once the Mondeo goes!). One chap on here has posted a year or two ago of his bike on the roof with the suckers system which seemed to work well. I fully understand that a love of cars can coexist with other interests such as cycling even if a spot of mud lands on the roof. Happy hunting

Hi - late to the party but keep checking Dicky's stock @ Richard Grace Cars. Good luck on the hunt for the bike rack solution!

Keep the mundeo for hauling crud and muddy bikes and kit.
The stress and worry about paint scratches and chips plus leaving it in cra@ppy potholed car parks is not worth it.

Good luck with the search, I was in the same position as you a couple of weeks ago, but will hopefully be in a Granturismo shortly.

The Seasucker solution can work well, but as I don’t have a Granturismo yet can only give my experience with one fitted on another car. The one I had you could mount two bikes. With two mountain bikes it can feel a bit unnerving due to their weight, but as long as you are sensible the bikes remain secure. With much lighter road bikes mounted you barely feel they are there.

I know this is a sacrilegious question, but is there a means of carrying a bicycle on it? Tail gate rack or similar?

Thanks again
Matt
It won't break down, so no need for the bike ;) .
Good luck with your search.

you are a braver man than me, I took a very small stone chip to the front of my model 3 roof which resulted in the main glass being replaced at tesla at over a grand
