Proxi Alignment... won't align on my QP

Evening gents,

Following on from my previous TPMS related thread here, I ended up tracking down and installing a brand new original OEM TPMS ECU - and whilst my TPMS sensors work once more, my car now doesn't seem to want to Proxi-Align. The folks that fitted my ECU reported the following, something they've only seen once before:
Infotainment will not align, body computer shows an error with can bus line B.

Any ideas? No one seems to be sure of the consequences of an unsuccessful proxi-align. My QP's infotainment system is stock... no carplay etc.

I’m absolutely guessing here but my hunch would be that the new TPMS ECU may not be fully communicating with the vehicle as they should. It may be that a proxy alignment procedure needs to be performed in addition to installing it. I would have thought that any well equipped independent or a main dealer could do this… If a proxy alignment procedure has already been attempted and failed, one problem might be that the TPMS ECUs may be year and model specific in which case the new one may not be compatible with your vehicle’s computer.

Perhaps ring a few dealers/indies and enquire about it tomorrow? As far as consequences, given it’s just TPMS, can’t imagine it would have many consequences?
