Hi, ive been lurking for a bit but finally got round to posting.

I have a fairly recently acquired 08 4.7S, im trying to work out whether it has TPMS or not. Theres no button on the roof console, valves nor TP reading on the menu screen..........but it does have a TPMS warning light on the dash which goes out on start up.

Do i have a more rudentary system or are Maserati trying to gas light me with fake warning lights?

Hi & welcome, I might be corrected on this but if you haven’t got the roof reset button you haven’t got them?

Welcome Aeroresh. Thank your lucky stars as they are more trouble than they are worth. Mine hasn't got them either, but to be fair I don't remember ever seeing a light. Pics please.

Nice wheels, but pity about the callipers. You can get the yellow taken off and a nice red applied for only about £500-600. :D

MX58EWL?

Thought you were going to ask about an Audi! Welcome!

There seems to be a little QPV resurgence going on at the moment..Long may it continue as they are definitely the Gentlemen's express of choice!

Had a GT in recently with the exact same issue. It turned out the roof panel with the TPMS button pack had been changed to one without the TPMS button.

We got a used button pack, swapped it over and voila, could recalibrate the new TPMS sensors.

The TPMS have batteries that last about 10 years so would suggest you do have them and they need changing.

It is possible the dash has been changed and you don’t have TPMS so it will require a proxy align to remove it.

You can lift the drivers Matt, remove the cover panel and pear backwards down the hole to spot a grey box about the size of a cigarette packet with Beru on it.

Remove the main engine ECU then two 10mm bolts and the tray with it on slides out as it’s difficult to see.

If your local to Southampton pop in to SportsItalia and I will have a quick look for you.

One of the lads in our 'gang' was called Matt, was a running joke 'Fancy a beer, Matt' - 'Welcome Matt!' - 'Going to the gym, Matt?'

Soon got fed up when we ran out of mat things....

The valves are often different too with the TPMS ones having a metal stalk with the bolt on the bottom where many “normal” ones just have the familiar black rubber stalk. Not always, But often.
