Well, OK, then. £28,750 seems in the right zone.

I think these are hard to value. Good ones are getting rare but buyers are rare also these days. I think we all agree that this car is just far too much money and DL are chancing their arm with this one.
What you find also if a few more come up for sale at the same time other dealers/sellers will follow suit and ask for more and then push prices up......but this car is definatily priced in the more money than sense catagory......Worth more than 28750 though. That silver 2010 car is up for 27k so I would think that makes this 2013 excellent example around 35k at least. That seems top price at the moment and this will be a great example......

If it is the Hairpin car, they could’ve sold it 5 times over at £35k or so. I’d suggest it’s value to be circa £42k. I would personally price it at £42950 if I was listing it; assuming it to be immaculate and wanting for nothing. Some on here said my two were dear in the Autumn at £35k with double the mileage, both were superb examples and sold very quickly. There is a big following for these cars, I have a list of people who are waiting for me to find one for them. Good ones start at £30k now, bad ones, about £15k.

You keep saying this, but buyers of good cars are plentiful. The pandemic, Brexit, 2030/2035 announcement would all lead us to believe the contrary but it’s not the case. 2016-18 was steady, but since 2019 it’s been really busy. That’s not just me, but all the fellow indie and main dealers whom I liaise with who generally sell similar value cars to myself.
Rough examples, which are sadly the majority, sit around for a long time, and rightly so. Buyers are more well-informed than they’ve ever been. They also benefit greatly from the changes to consumer rights laws. This means poor dealerships won’t survive and poor examples just get thrown back at the dealer. All the consumer rights also mean few buyers seek out private sales, further widening the price differentials.

I'd agree with this. Certainly I have opted to trade in my car on my last 6 purchases as the hassle of selling a car for more than £10k nowadays isn't worth it.

And there is no way I would now buy a premium priced car privately unless it was ridiculously cheap.

There does seem to be less people selling cars privately these days, especially at higher prices. Of the 500,000 plus cars on autotrader only 30,000 are private sales now. And only a small % of those are over 20k. Plus, probably a lot of the ‘private’ sales are actually traders too!

Maybe autotrader isn’t the place people sell privately now, with eBay, Facebook etc. for cheaper stuff and these new auction sites popping up for more expensive/rare cars.

Supply and demand is king though for a 4.7 GTS. It ticks a lot of the boxes for a car that could potentially continue to rise.
Considered the best model, of the best version of all 6 generations, although some may argue (wrongly;)). Iconic design. Maserati name. Low numbers and relatively short production run. Plus of course the sound, the 4.7 being last NA V8 in a Maserati.

It may just hover around a similar price to now and not rise who knows, but I’d be very surprised if they dropped in value now.
So even at what now seem high prices I don’t think there will be much loss of shirt on a GTS purchase for a buyer, long term.

I think they are with you Dicky but in general someone selling Maserati privately or a used car dealer who doesn't specialize may see something different...….I think you are right if someone wants one they come to you and you can sell everyone as there are very little about and you only sell the best and again they are far and few between...…...I bet you can count the amount of QP GTS sold on one hand in 12 months so selling a great example is not hard maybe ? There a very few good specialists around and most I would imagine who want a car like this will but from the specialist so can see why there are buyers for yourself and some of the other respected dealers Dicky.

Pics are up now. Looks great.
To be honest, it’s looks cheap compared to the rest of their stock! Just shows what value QP’s are in general compared to other ‘exotic’ stuff.
There’s only a couple of old 90’s German cars and a Ford Focus (and that’s 40k) up for less.

I noticed in the rear view pic this car has rear mudguards. Cannot see any rear guard on eurospares diagrams only fronts.
I was toying with seeing if the fronts would fit on the back bumper myself to protect from stones etc. Anyone seen rear guards before?

Pretty sure my lowly 4.2 DS has them front and rear, both in front of the wheel and behind.

I'll check tmrw....

Got them on my near identical QP GTS with 35k miles.....
Interesting as I cannot find them on ES. Are they the same as the fronts or larger? I will keep searching for a part no. I have never seen them before. 22 is the front and there is an oversized version. Wondering whether it is those.80929
