QP front tyres

Probably been considered here a million times before but tyres seem to be an ever developing thing.

The fronts on my car are not too long for this world. The rears are a healthy set of Conti Sport Contacts (3s I think) and the fronts are an odd mix of a fairly normal p zero and a p zero corsa!! I can only assume the corsa is there after maybe a puncture suffered by the previous owner and it being the only tyre in stock of the right size.

So, what is current flavour of the month? Cost obviously an issue but not to the detriment of performance obviously. Stick with some contis or is there anything else suitable? The car has the 19" wheels on it.

If you're happy with them, and you can get them for a decent price, stick with them...worth shopping around though, hard to find and quite pricey from the wrong source.

I like to have with the same tyres on each axle...so if you are happy with the rear contis I would look to match those...
Not sure about availability at the moment as I am not looking for any, but when the time comes I will stick with my tried and tested Pirelli P zero rossos :D

The Quattroporte owners manual (page 206) recommends tyres of the same brand and type are fitted to all of the wheels. The Pirelli P Zero Rosso was the original specification for the 19 inch wheel rims. Goodyear Eagles were offered as 19 inch run flat alternatives with Vredestein mentioned for the emergency spare wheel (page 209). Tyre pressures when cool are quoted as 2.2 Bar all round.

If the 20 inch rims are fitted, the rears ( 295/30 ZR20 Pirelli P Zero) should be 2.0 bar not 2.2 - at least according to my Quattroporte S manual that came with the car. Fronts (245/35 ZR 20) are quoted as 2.2 bar. And by the way, the page numbers in my manual don't match those you've quoted here - tyre pressures are on page 232 of the version I have.

I should have mentioned that the data comes from the 2006 manual. Twenty inch rims were not specified as an option back then.

Blast from the past - but 20" were around in 2006 on the Sport GT according to our own spec list

What tyres are we fitting these days?
