QP V 'Parking Aid unavailable'

Evening all,
I must admit the peace and quiet is quite pleasant actually, but it would appear that something has upset the system today and I'm now presented with an amber parking sensor icon on the dash display preceded by the message 'Parking Aid unavailable' Can I assume that this is Italian for a sensor is bolognaised?
It was working fine this morning, came back to the car this afternoon and message appeared - seemed to reset itself with an ignition on/off and then one sensor seemed to have a fit at a roundabout followed by the apology on the dash.
Is it likely to be one sensor throws the whole lot, or would it be the module that controls the whole lot? If its a sensor, do I go for the one that seemed to have a fit?

While I'm here though, I also have an occasional apology appear with respect to the interactive lighting unavailable (bendy headlight system I assume), would this be a sensor issue too somewhere?

Many Thanks
Ian.

Parking is probably a failed sensor indeed, and yes, that will make spaghetti out of the entire system. You can actually listen to, or feel the sensors when they are working, and tell which one it is.

Can't help with the Interactive headlights I'm afraid

Cool - thanks, I'd hoped it might be. I've seen some threads on here about alternative suitable replacements so will see if it makes sense to get a batch while I'm at it. Yes I know the test, had similar issue on my old Omega (that ended up being the speaker in the headlining was kaput!!)
Strangely the headlight message seems to appear either when it's very wet, or has been rather wet. It doesn't stay on for long so assume it's not working only when the message/symbol is displayed?

Thanks
Ian.
