There is another 4.7S on collecting cars, looks in great condition, 42k and full dealer history.
Will be interesting to see what it gets to. You have to like everything black though.

Nothing. It does have red stitching and calipers to spice it up a bit! :)

If the underside and variators check out, which they should do you’d hope, as it looks like it’s been looked after by the same main dealer all its life, then someone is going to get a nice example I think.

86,000 miles, £13k-17k. Just how far off a suspension refresh would one be?
Miles in themselves wouldn’t worry me too much. A full underside refresh would...
Do you mean a first or second suspension refresh? My GranTurismo is on 30,000 miles less than that and I’ve already had the front bush kit, one rear upper arm, all the springs and ARB D bushes & drop links.

I do wonder whether these cars are now so old that a few k of repairs is already priced into most deals. Let’s face it if a PPI shows £4K of work needed on a £17k car then surely the vendor is going to pull out and just trade it for more than 17 less 4?

@Nayf , how do you know the car on The Market has a remap? As the full description is not up yet, there doesn't seem to be anything suggesting that.

My former editor at Modern Classics is doing the pics/write up. He was impressed with it, which is quite something considering his usual disdain. He did like the Biturbo Spyder we put on the cover once though...

Given it's in Kings Lynn and your neck of the woods, I did wonder if you had written the copy. The one at Collecting Cars edges it for me based on colour but both look nice.

Now that looks lovely...Apart from that bloody awful front grill. Would have to put a GTS grill on it.

So am I right in thinking that the post-facelift 4.2 grille is convex black, the 4.7 S is convex chrome and the GT S is concave black with red detailing?

And these are interchangable? Or, presumably the chrome could be pained black?

And then am I right in thinking that pre-facelift was either horizontal or mesh?

Are these interchangeable with post-facelift cars? (Mesh is my favourite, I think.)

It’s the convex ones on the face lift that I just don’t like. The concave one on the GTS looks great. Just never thought the convex suited the car.

Pre-facelift mesh could be chrome (Executive GT) or Black (The sports one - I dare not try and guess the exact nomenclature or spacing)

I'm pretty happy with the black convex on my 4.2. But I have added 81256000 to my eBay saved searches!

the black isn’t as bad as the chrome one as it stands out more. But we all like different things so sure some love the convex.

based on most action sales during COVID; too much. Amazing how many cars seem to sell at retail - all the risks of an auction without the saving. Variators done?, subframe sound?, need any bushes etc? It may need nothing or up to £10k so how can we tell if it is a good price without a report from a specialist?
