QPV oil & filter change

Folks,

I am contemplating doing an engine oil and filter change myself on my 2004 Quattroporte (Duo Select, dry sump). I have the workshop manual to reference so feel reasonably confident I should be able to complete the task but has anyone seen a 'how to' or 'DIY oil change' post anywhere on the SM forum (or elsewhere for that matter), which may also be worth referencing?

Any other words of advice also welcome for those that have done theirs!

No issues , just be careful with the undershield when accessing the oil tank drain plug.
Oh & remove the heat shield by the filter for better access.

Hi,

With the under-shield becoming more and more tattered and difficult to remove and replace, I simply cut (with a air powered saw) a small piece from the corner of the shield. This allows access to the drain plug with no undue stress or work!
