Hi All,

I am on the hunt for a QPV 2008 or 2009 facelift 4.2. I may be able to stretch to a 4.7 but it would need to be very keenly priced.

Must haves:-

Solid subframes and preferably treated
Variators must be done
Must have detailed
service history.

Please don’t think I’m being cheeky but if your car doesn’t have the above I won’t buy it.

Sorry yes 4.7. I was in touch with Silvercat. It was just slightly out my price range by about a grand or two.

You’ll struggle to get a good QP 4.7 south of 18k. Account for the work you want, youll easily be into 18-23k money.

Might get all the ticket items in a 4.2 QP for about 14-16k.

Shiltech are selling an 08 for <11k. Guess you are looking at auto box? I would wait for a 4.7 personally all depends what your budget is. Good luck. Plenty of advice and knowledge on here.

Good luck with the hunt and purchase. Nice to be educated on these cars, and your wish-list is excellent. But trust me anything Maserati will see you spaffing cash left-right and centre.

I sometimes feel like I’m involved in a hot workplace affair. One I cannot walk from mostly due to blackmail. And the huge grin on my face every time I’m inside of her!

Happy hunting!

Well that's a shame... I have literally just sold my 2009 4.7S ( on Thursday last week) after 7 months of trying. And it had all the things you have highlighted. Oh well.....

I'm thinking of selling my QPV 2009 facelift 4.2 in about March (planning an upgrade to a newer 4.7).
Subframes seem solid.
Variators not done, but could be.

Can provide lots of service history with a lot of work having been done:
A rugged, industrial-strength daily driver that has some rough edges (and no flappy paddles), but gets regularly used and regularly fixed! About 68,000 miles.

I was thinking about £15k

Paint looks a bit sun bleached to me!
