Quattroporte Space Saver Size Info Needed

Hi Guys
Can someone who has a space saver in the boot of a Quattroporte (mine is a 2009 but I don't think it matters) please check the dimensions of the tyre. I have just bought a space saver with tyre size 185/60/17 on it. The standard tyre on the rear on my car is 285/40/18 and on the front is 245/45/18.
Whilst writing that I just realised that the profile is different on the front to the back. The front has a 45 profile and the rear a 40 profile. I find that odd, is it?

Thats sounds right. The rear tyres are Rosso's as well. Guess for the space saver it won't matter.

Well the 4200s have different profiles front and rear. Not sure if that helps at all

Hi Phil,

I have a 2006 QP with space saver. My car is fitted with 245/45 ZR19 Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on the front and 285/35 ZR 19 Pirelli P Zero Rosso's on the rear. This is a standard specification described in the handbook although alternative sizes are also mentioned. The spare is a Vredestein 185/60 R17. It is an optional extra and I bought mine through Sports Maserati forum thread dated 01.06.2013 'Maserati space saver spare wheel part No. 192481'.

Phil,

Eighteen inch wheels with your tyre sizes are specified as an alternative for my model year. The differing profiles you mention for front and rear are correct.

The profiles a percentage of the width, so keeps the diameter the same, if that makes sense. so wider tire lower profile, narrower tire higher profile.
