Edit, 2 May 2021 - No longer 'For Sale', but sold: https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/quattroporte-v-4-7-wanted.33079/page-3#post-856609

I'm just about to execute on a deal to acquire an upgrade for my QPV, so I have to part with my current QPV.

84648

Its a 2009 facelift ZF 4.2 in black with a cream and walnut interior with a bit over 70,000 miles on the clock. It does not have paddles, but does have (retrofit) heated seats.

I've owned VX09FLD since July 2016 when it had just 35,000 miles, and it has been a daily driver ever since. It is mechanically very sound with quite a lot of new parts over the years, but it is a bit rough cosmetically, so would suit someone mechanically-minded, who wanted a bargain but trustworthy QPV that they could bring up to scratch (or drive into the ground, or break for parts, I suppose).

It is on four good Sottozero winter tyres at the moment, but I also have a set of summer tyres.

We Buy Any Car have offered almost £11,000 for it, but would probably try to gouge me to under £10,000, but I would be open to sensible offers from forum members. But it has to go this week.

I can provide details of both work done and cosmetic issues by private message to anyone seriously interested.

Good news that you have found the unicorn. I would say good luck with the sale, but either way it will be sold, so that’s great.

Well done MarkMas. Excited to see what you are replacing it with.

I think I am about to rejoin the QP5 club with a 2005 4.2 Duoselect in Oceano with Marrone leather, wood etc that has only done 10k miles. I have such fond memories of my QP5s.

Best of luck with the sale. It amazes me that Maserati put DRLs on the QP in 2008 but waited another four years to put them on the GT/GC.

Best of luck with the sale. It amazes me that Maserati put DRLs on the QP in 2009 but waited another three years to put them on the GT/GC.
If you mean the leds at the bottom those are the indicator. DRL is a 501 bulb.

Not sure! Thought the facelift QP was given driving lamps. My 2011 GranTurismo does not have them but I drive with side lights on the compensate. Sometimes at night I put the headlights on.

No they are indicators. Mine is a facelift.
The drl is switchable by the nit and is basically the 21w sidelights.

Thanks for the comments and questions.

Details to follow when the deal is completed. The new QPV is a nice blue 4.7. Perhaps not 'the best QP in the UK', but a satisfying 20% upgrade in all directions from my current car (which has served me very well). Might have it all sorted by Thursday.

Now who wants a bargain 4.2?????

@MarkMas 's old QPV is up for sale at Hobbs Parker on a timed auction ending at 2:00pm today.

Opening bid at £10,500, fee will be £310 + vat on top at that price I think.

In case you cannot see the listing itself, here is the catalogue:

Hobbs and Parker are literally 2 minutes from my office.

Looks better than the usual stuff they have.

With the good bits missing? Buy it back and swap your radio then wbac it again.

Ha! Actually, it's looking like the radio issue with the new car is with the wiring, not the radio. Matt's electrician is working on it now.

Unsurprisingly, no bids were received. Expect to see this go through again next week.
