I ended up putting in an offer of £38k for the one originally listed for £45k (now reduced to £43k).

It was rejected and I decided not to pursue it, I thought my offer was reasonable and market value. I'm just going to wait for another one to come up for sale.

Have you seen the car? I have and IMO it’s not worth £38k, irrespective of low mileage, easily needs £5k immediately spent if not more.

What did you identify needed doing?

Driver door has a very poor repair imo as you can see the rippling and colour/shade difference, lacquer lifting just near the window trim. Arch’s blistered more than a 18k mile car, discs need changing if I read the advisory correctly and book pack looks like it’s been stored underwater. 4 services in 11 years going by stamps iirc.

Nothing that can’t be sorted but at the right price. I had a 18k mile car and it was immaculate so seeing this highlighted the difference in condition.

I have had a QP V S, 2 GTS and now a QP V Sport GT S. It is pretty close as they are so similar. I like the luggage space and family-friendly nature of the QP - particularly for longer European trips etc. But the GTS is a more nimble machine (relatively speaking) - so I think it depends on needs. Having said that my next will be a 2/2+2 but I will keep the QPV Sport GT S

No, it’s a Cat N.

It says on the ad it’s cat N for ‘cosmetic’ reasons only. There was no bodywork damage at all. Wonder what that was to write off a 30k car?

Without photos I would be very suspect of any description of the damage

Maybe it was vandalised. Covered in paint, scratched on every panel, glass smashed etc. That would cost a few quid to put right!
