I gather it's been through auction a few times this year, but not made enough to sell. Reserve has been lowered this time though.

If only I could find one for that price this side of the Channel.

You wouldn't want to. NE Sports Salvage (aka TVR Glen) is notorious on Pistonheads. He reputedly specialises in selling some of the worst basket cases known to man.

I wouldn't buy without inspecting and the cheapest I've seen this side of the Channel £10,000 needing ££££ spending.

all eu countries complicated or just the french?
Bought a car in Belgium exactly a year ago up on the train deal done export plates organised as original plates there are registered to the person not the car and drove home so easy.
To be fair when I bought the Porsche in the UK back in 19 it was even easier just drove it to France insured and drove it straight away until my French paperwork and plates were ready.
Oh the Good Old Days.

I visited when I had TVRs. Not as bad as they make out, you need to go in with eyes wide open and do your homework, many didn't, hence the posts.

I can tell you that French employment regulations are the most complicated and least employer-friendly of anywhere in Europe. I think this is generally true of most French bureaucracy.

But there is also Système D in France, where certain steps can be taken to débrouiller (un-fog) and démerder (un-fork) an adverse bureaucratic situation. But I'll stop there before I'm put in the racism cooler.

It's true some things here in France are not easy compared to the UK and being honest if I didn't have Ms French I could have fallen at the first hurdle but once your in the system there's no complaints from me now.
As an example for myself to set up as self employed in the Automotive Trade they wanted to see all my qualifications translated at my expense before I could become a Garagiste.
Therefore I could not become a Carpenter as I'm not qualified.
Makes things a lot safer and professional in my opinion.

Having to employ union reps that do what they like is a proper taking of the pee for sure.
