But we never walked out with a couple of thousand quid on a lead, easy pickings these days. None the less, it needs to be taken more seriously by the law.

Mrs Z and children are after another dog, current Springerdor is 10 and they would like to get a new one in trained before he gets too old. Nearly fell of my chair when she told me that puppy versions now start at €1500, current one was £350

Every breed here seems to have a base line of £2k, cash only... obviously

The price of dogs for any breed shot up since the covid crisis. More people working from home oh lets get a dog seems a great idea.

Roll the calendar forwards 6 to 12 months when hopefully things are a bit more back to normal and less people working from home and reality will kick in. Prices of pups will probably fall but there will likely be a influx of rescue dogs needing a new home.

A dog is for life not just for covid lockdown. Sadly some new dog owners over the last 12 months will not understand that concept.

Hold fire till things calm down Andy, will be plenty of dogs available later in the year or next year, most likely millions of rehomers needing loving care too!

£3500 around here for a Cavapoo pup and springers similar. Bonkers....There was a lady from Battersea Dogs Home recently talking about the huge rise over lockdowns of people wanting a dog. Then she talked about the returns, one woman returned a dog because it didn't match her kitchen, I mean FFS.

I was told recently the Old English Sheepdog pups are c£4500. Crazy indeed. I got Argo as a rescue dog when he was 8 months old. My eldest daughter has just got a Goldendoodle for £2200. Apparently some breeders wanted £5k for one. Insane.

Coolest cutest pups you ever saw on the streets of Nairobi will cost you no more that $50
Cabin baggage?

Last time I flew out of Nairobbery, the security guy at the metal detector asked me for a contribution to his lifestyle.

25 years ago we went to Luxor , the airport was chaos , all the planes seemed to land at once so passport control was a joke.

Coming back the queue was out of the airport

We got out of the taxi and a guy wearing a suit asked which airline we were flying with

Ah yes, this way please , he picked all the bags up and started walking down the queue so we followed him

We got almost to the front and he went up to a German couple , excuse me , excuse me. , they protested but moved and he put our bags where they'd been stood

There you are sir with his hand out

It was at that point I realised he didn't work at the airport

I do hope you stayed at the allocated spot in the queue though...

My in-laws got a dog last year. Gorgeous thing. He had already been bought from the breeder once before they got him but the people took him back because he barked.

******* idiots.
