With all this talk of dogs like Cockerpoo's and whatever miss mash you want to put together, why are they now called that?

When I was a kid, a dog which was a mix of two different breeds was call a Mongrel.
Two pedigree breeds give you a cross breed. More than that is a mongrel isn’t it?

I now understand this and it was obvious but most obvious things are obvious, thanks! The other strange school attire one is in Tokyo where most of the girls schools have uniforms that have plaid/tartan skirts. Something to do with Billy Connolly?
He cannae have fathered all o' them!

Nah, they're all mongrels. They just have better PR

I have to confess I don't get it. Much as I'd love a pedigree Maine or Forest or something, I just can't bring myself to when there are so many moggies abandoned every year.

Talking of better PR, a Metisse was a brand of motorcycles that used a mish mash of parts from different manufacturers. Slightly different from your common garden Tribsa, Triton or Norville.
I liked the name as it sounded exotic till some wag pointed out that Metisse is French for Mongrel B!tch... PR bubble burst!

Ok . So a month ago I was filling up the Velar for around $67.
Today it’s cost me $106!!!! $1.82 per litre . ...just over a £1
Wot the serious f!!
A 50% increase in a month.

No inflationary signs anywhere eh.
Feck off.

Is it because there's going to be a shortage of oil if they don't get that container ship out of the Suez canal soon

Just out of curiousity is the EV being marketed heavily in Australia , given the distances I'd have thought it'd be very impractical , or do most fly rather than drive long distance

There's no justification for that rise from what I can see. Garages being opportunistic I reckon!
Re Ev’s theres a fair few Tesla’s on the GC (garage has recently opened too). Wouldn’t say they were being marketed that heavily and frankly I haven’t seen any charging stations so dunno what people would do other than plug in at home.
Certainly interstate/outback driving would need a lot of “charge “ stop planning.

What’s the cost of a litre in the Uk at the mo?

Prices gone mad here, petrol €1.43 (£1.23), Diesel €1.32 (£1.13) former a bit up on UK and latter cheaper
