What car? They are exactly the same as Skoda or Volvo ones, depending on Maserati middle. Hope you didn't pay Maserati prices!

Hi
Thanks that's very kind.
If these don't work I'll get back to you. Dont want to put you about but that would be great if these cause me issues.

Have you tried giving the non working one a good whack? Might have to do them all since it's not easy to detect which one is faulty. No too hard though or you might push them in.

If you put the car in reverse and then hold your finger close to the sensor, you'll be able to hear a faint 'tick tick tick' if the sensor is functioning. This should help narrow down the faulty one(s).

U need someone in the car with foot on brake tho! Plus I tried this and the exhaust noise even on idle is too loud....

Yes mines bust too, but works in warm/hot weather, it's in two minds currently cos weather is up and down, but I can almost predict when it'll work or not!

Don't start me on TPMS.....

Are you sure you need foot on brake....parking sensors don't only work when braking. Perhaps you do on a QP - you definitely don't on a 4200/Gransport, as I did it last weekend -njust needed the ignition on and reverse selected (no engine noise, no braking). It's bumper off fun for me at the weekend!

Well, not sure I'd like car in reverse with only weak hand brake and someone with their ear on bumper!

Just notice u said no engine ignition only - my bad - assumed u'd need engine on. At last, a task! Tmrw;s job I think...

But can u select R with no engine on?

Yep, on the GS I had reverse selected with ignition on, but engine not running. I'd guess it's the same on the QP.

Many times. :)
I know it's the middle right as the inner section of the sensor fell out!! Pretty conclusive !
After I'd purchased the car it had to go back to things done surprise surprise.
Rather than repair it properly they had soldered a new inner section within the sensor if that makes any sense. Bodged it basically.
Obviously they didn't facy taking the bumper off.

Wont be buying a car from there again. The rear sensor was tip of the iceberg

Good man! The Skoda ones for GranTurismo I think - I have four mis-ordered ones you could have had too - no charge!
Going back to the sensors you disordered. Are there any codes on them? Just thinking it might confirm the ones I have are ok if they match to yours

Hi Jim, do you know if it's the same sensors for the front? My front ones have played up since I got my 2009 Granturismo S last year. At this price, and with a bit of time on my hands (!?!), it seems it could be well worth me sorting these out.

Sorry dude I don't know.
However when I booked it in, the workshop asked if it was front or back sensors that were playing up. I said back. ( my car doesn't have front). Then they said it wouldnt matter they would most likely work.
They also mentioned that parking sensors are a bloody con as most the time they're all the same. You just pay the price of whichever car you have. Maserati obviously being expensive.
