Rear seat access?

Can any one tell me if the front seats in the granturismo move forward by electric or by simply pulling a lever and sliding them by hand to get access to the rear seats?

Granturismo is currently top of the list to replace our ML. But with a 16 month old daughter the last thing I want is to be stood waiting in the rain/cold for a seat to move its self out of the way, so hoping it’s a quick pull to get access.

Just watched this old fifth gear review and seems to show the seat back moving by hand and just the base moving by motor so not as bad as I thought.

Ah yes sorry I thought you meant the base. Yes the back moves forward by hand and the base moves by motor but it's done as one movement really. You couldn't get even a child in the back without the seat base moved forward.

It moves, not as quickly as a manual one, but not too slow.

I had a 4 year old climb in with the seat tipped forward. But then the seat wasn't all the way back in the first place.

Its looking quite promising. with the seat tilted forward i could at least pop the little one into the foot well as i waited so not the end of the world.

Not some thing i ever thought i would be having to consider when buying a car.

Get rid of the child? Just an option. ;)

as all have stated, seat back is manual and instantaneous, base is electric and somewhat slow. that said, once tipped forward, a child can get in without waiting for the base. depending on how tall you are, you may be able to get in too after only a second or two.
