On my 2002 4200 the rubber surround on rear window has degraded and is coming away from the glass.
Does any one know if this rubber is for sale anywhere?
Is it a maserati part or will a car window company be able to remove and replace rubber surround?

Hmm, there's no part listed on Eurospares. Are you sure what you're looking at is not adhesive, as in a bonded screen?

It's dark outside, but I'm pretty sure mine is bonded in.

I think they are bonded, but having a quick look at my car, there is a rubber seal under the finishing trim.

If I recall correctly the rubber seal is part of the black plastic trim that surrounds the screen

If you whack the rear window with a hammer like a mate of mine did last week(I'm not condoning this by the way)
For a small excess fee, you can get the whole lot replaced free of charge on your insurance...

It's amazing how those can slip. I myself have come so close to having a 4 pound lump hammer slip from my grasp while being held over my scratched front screen.

When I was a kid I though ball-peen hammer was actually ball-pain hammer...and it made me wince every time one was mentioned. Couldn't understand why someone would invent such a thing, never mind buy and use one...
