With me working at home for the last week or so and for the foreseeable future, I am rapidly working my way through my vinyl LPs and have even got the CD player out of the loft.

And I'm getting bored of Spotify recommendations so asking the SM massive to recommend me some listening. I really like albums and am rather old school in the belief that LPs tell a story more than any compilation or random play selection can.

Don't be afraid to recommend anything ... to say I have an eclectic taste is an understatement. Although often drawn to guitar based music (especially punk and rock) my music collection varies from blues to thrash metal, country to classical and everything in between.

Prefer if it was available on Spotify but will track down if you say it's good ...... so what ya got?

Great idea... while staying at home we can discover new music.

I can heartily recommend "No One's Fault But Your Own" by The Penny Black Remedy.

Someone who used to work for me went out with one of the band members for a while. The whole album is superb and the opening track is a masterpiece. Yet the band is largely unknown...

Xray Spex - there's a band I haven't listed to in ages. Forgotten how much I like Obsessed With You.

Generally I don't like female punk vocalists but there is something about Polly.

Supertramp; Breakfast in America. Every cut a great song.
The Who; Tommy. Almost 2 hours of the greatest rock.
Willie Nelson; Red Headed Stranger. Classic ballads.

edit; if anyone listens to Red Headed Stranger for the first time, tell me what you think. Ed

Their best album ever, IMHO.

Way loads of emotional stuff attached to it. Can't recall last time I listened ;)
