remove nit, no light in instrument panel

Hey!
can anyone help me, have put many hours now searching for ways to get light in the instrument panel below the climate controller.
my thought was to remove nits and display to replace it with a pioneer appradio4.


has found the relay to the hazard lights, so it should not be reached problems connecting a new button

don't care about trip distance

As far as i know the only way of retaining the light to anything below the display screen is to keep the NIT in place and then remove the screen and extend the cable and fit in another location.

There is also a thread on maserati life about installing a now defunct alpine unit but it should give you the idea.

You also have the problem of having a custom bezel made to fit the dash and pioneer unit. Access to a 3d printer would be handy.
