How does the screen for infotainment on 2008 Quattroporte come out. I am reluctant to pry it without being sure.
Thak you in advance.

If it is similar to the qp s with zf it is much easier.
Remove surround around the gear stick.
Pull top air vents
Remove 4 or 6 screws (can't remember) of the centre console.
Remove console with radio and climate in place, unplugging as you need to.
My Bose was mounted from the rear.

As Gaz says, remove the consul around the gear stick (yank auto shifter up) and undo the lower centre panel screws

then the top air vent pulls out then undo the two screws and the whole thing pulls forward.

mark all the connectors and un-clip them, remove the entire panel from the car.

Flip it over and press the two tangs on the nit unit to remove that forward then the cage screws to remove the frame and get access to the screen.

There is video on this, albeit by a very annoying YouTube poster. It shows the small removal steps in quite a lot of detail… but brace yourself for the antics of a failed entertainer! Not impressed with his install either, but useful for removal info…

One thing to add, some of the connectors have release tangs, the one that goes in the side of the screen has 2, you need two pick tools to get it out and it’s a particular trying process

Talking of recolonising, did a complete red interior last week Inc removing the centre consul and stripping it down to component parts. Don’t ever want to have to do that again. The results were amazing
