We just did one and took the bumper off yes, but that was to inspect the rads on Robins car when a pheasant decided to head butted through it.

Good effort! Have to confess I've gone the lazier route of ordering a replacement grill as I don't trust my plastic welding skills. I fancy having a go at the conveyor though at least if I balls it up it's less visible!
Give it a good clean and use some satin black on it to bring it back to life.. or replace it £200 plus.

when u fit it back in just remember the two parking sensor connectors dangling as you don’t want to push conveyor in and have these trapped.

I need to take out my QP grille and cannot see any screw heads. Are they hiding under the thin rubber strip just behind the ribs? In which case did you pull off and replace the strip? Thx

Apologies, I realise now torx screws only at top. I mistook the clips on bottom on the parts diagram for more screws. BTW I found this video of someone doing same job.

Someone at the pub on Thursday (sorry, forget who) said that to repair a broken fin you can epoxy a bit of metal (eg a bit of wire coat hanger) into the groove (where the screwdriver is in the pic) at the back to give a stronger mechanical fix than just a bit of glue.

For changing from a convex to a concave (GT S) grille, what's the story on moving or changing or shortening the 'crash bar' shown at 4m25s

Me. Cut piece of metal coat hanger, bent it to shape of the fin, push it in as far as it will go and bond it in. I used silicone behind it but anything would do I imagine
