Could be one to watch...probably have plenty of cash...
Back in November Marussia motors took a significant shareholding in the Virgin Racing team.

Sadly, Powered by Cosworth is not something that I would shout about. Ask anyone who bought the MX-5 Cosworth Supercharger. Most got no more than 1000 miles out of the engines! They are owned by an American ex racing driver now and seem to have completely lost their way as far as customer service and reliability are concerned. Mind you, if you ever get a chance to do a factory visit, do it. Absolutely amazing place!

will it have the technology that ferrari have?? i doubt it, but looks menacing enough
Even if it does Dem, how to you replicate the pedigree?

As for Cowsorth, I went on Work Experience there as a teenager - at the time, I wokred on the Granada Cosworth and Escort Cosworth engines. As a pretol head, it was superb to hear stories from the RED (Road Engine Development) lads - "yeah, the Saph is better than the whale tail - the whale tail gets a bit loose around 140" LOL! As a 15 y/o. that was superb stuff. Considering it was a work experience thing, I got well involved too, building an engine from scratch and then testing it to distruction. Great.

Sadly, that was a long, long time ago now.

Completely agree.

Its a massive part of the GS's attraction for me - I'm aware there are faster cars on the road, better handling, better made and probably for less money.... but its not about buying the fastest, best handling, best made....its the one with soul, character, rarity, sense of occasion, and on, and on, and on...

I agree with the thing about Nissans and would never buy one ever, however I am all for new cars, new makes etc particularly when they look like this beast.

Everyone has to start somewhere and there are plenty of 'recognised' marques that were unheard of ten or fifteeen years ago. We won't know that much about Marussia until the car has been put through its paces by the journos, but until then it might be worth watching. IMHO there's nothing wrong with Cosworth; those of us with a few grey hairs, or even without hair, remember the formative days of that company and the respect it earned in the racing world for good reason. With all the money sloshing around in Russia these days it's quite possible that they will come good with a supercar, although I concede that in this instance the brand name is not exactly inspirational.

This link is pretty good:
