Any thoughts on the Ghibli - nothing done other than paint resto, upholstery and detailing of engine bay. Personally I think the seller seemed to have lost interest in the car and the £12750 seemed ridiculous given the history and costs including a £12 k bill

What was the mileage? One of the best Ghibli II autos I’ve seen (drove it while it was for sale at RG’s) was up for sale again over the summer for £11k. That had done 70k miles and had an enormous amount of money spent on it, and in the hands of an upstanding Maserati Club member who picked it up from the factory - and it was up for sale for less than it was at RG’s.
Then again, earlier in 2018 a blue auto with red interior was late teens and sold from RG almost instantly, with more miles. But that was a GT...

The GT versions are worth more, and that dark blue one was well known with an interesting ownership history. Plus it was the last UK car.

This one, IMO, isn’t worth what they’re currently asking and would struggle to make it to £10k if it went to auction. The harsh reality is that there are far better Maseratis (let alone other marques) out there for the same money, so it’ll only appeal to someone that dreams of owning an early, dark green auto Ghibli. And that person is rare.

That car was on Ebay a couple of years ago and has obviously had a bit of tidying before reappearing on ebay a few months ago. Its now on Autotrader:

Its a GT so is the most desirable version of the Ghibli (with the exception of the Cup and Primatist) and is in one of the nicest colour combinations but whether its worth the asking price is difficult to know without further inspection. Prices in Europe have gone a bit crazy in recent years and you'd struggle to find a GT for much less than 25000 Euros these days. The UK market is somewhat different and prices are a little lower but finding a really nice Ghibli in the UK is very difficult now, perhaps being an auto will hold the price down a little but they do have their followers.

Yeah I'd only have a manual.
Or maybe, in that parallel dimension where I have abundant funds, Ewan's old Cup sat next to that blue over red auto GT...
