Even our murderers don't get lashed.......is it so bad to drive a car in Saudi if your a woman?!

That is ridiculous. I know we all have a jab at our female counterparts and driving but this is just wrong. I did not even know that law either. Are there any other countries that have similar laws?

Not sure about now , but in 1979 driving through a small village in Turkey and very near to the Iranian border i came across a man and a woman being openly stoned in the village square , there were about 30-40 people including young kids throwing serious sized rocks at them, I had to stop as i needed to gas up , found out it was an adulterous relationship , apparently they were given a choice of punishments and chose the stoning ........... Cant say i was that surprised , i had already experienced far worse in Iran in previous years , the son of the guy i worked for pushed a man servant down a very deep well on the side of the Shemiran mountains , this was for stealing a watch from one of the Americans who rented a bungalow in their grounds, i bet it still goes on in various quarters

Sharia law or indeed some form of interpretation or just a law that restricts all females ...this law applies to all women, not just Saudi women in SA.


But again being openly challenged regularly over the last year by those who think its wrong on so many levels.

Thats odd..A few days ago was watching the news and a lady was explaining why she was breaking the driving ban for ladies.....They were filming her driving,,,I wonder if this is the same women...

If they keep the population at large under the cosh there won't be many questioning the reasons why. Praying 5 times a day, for instance, is another way of brain washing the masses to do as they are told.
