Seems suspiciously cheap

Early 4200, with reasonable miles, and slightly mismatching paint, seems fairly priced to me. And it is a manual :)

Looks like the left rear panel is a different colour from the door/front guard. Might just be a trick of the light although it is apparent on several of the photos. If mine was for sale and I could get that price for mine, I'd be reasonably happy.

Not a trick of the light from that many different angles

Don't run your old 4200 down mate, it will defiantly be worth lots more that that!

Come on folks, don't knock a 10k manual 4200 because it has a few "issues". It's not as if he's trying to sell it at 16k. It is what it is, and at that price will find a sympathetic buyer who can improve on it if so wished.

I did not expect Bordeaux interior (which I do like) with Grigio Nuvolari(?) exterior which I am really liking if it were sorted.

The paintwork needs sorting and could be expensive to do well (is this as bad as Bianco Fuji for colour match) but otherwise need to buy on condition. £11k is not cheap right now for a car of that age and mileage.

I do agree with others who feel that in years to come the manual will be more sought after.

Is this how much 4200s are? Christ alive, £10k & you can drive that around the English countryside....

It’s almost worth taking another verbal beating from the boss and buying one myself.

Early manual with xenons and memory seats, unusual but nice colour combi, and reasonable miles for just over £10k, looks good value to me. OK it needs the paint sorting and I would assume it needs a clutch or wishbones soon but that is a lot of car for the price.

Sold mine in 2011 foe just a grand more with similar miles and recent service (with matching Emblem services each year).
So c£1k drop in 7 years makes it look like prices are holding well.

I traded my 4200 in for less than that. And it was mechanically spot on and had just had the front and rear re-sprayed.

Paintwork is a piece of p*ss to do, it's no different from any other metallic paintwork.

It looks like it's had a bad re-spray on the passenger side rear 3/4.
And what is going on with those tail pipes?

Ha ha, I wish. It's done almost 110k now, although it is now a bit of a 'Trigger's broom'. In the last couple of years it's had new front and rear sub-frames, a replacement transaxle, a new alarm, an ABS ECU, 2 x new engine temperature sensors, new radiator, a new gauges control unit, airbag switch and battery... so not too bad for 11 years of daily driving ownership :( I'm just waiting for the heater matrix to go next. At least the wishbones checked OK. Probably jinxed it now.

I've got a Citroen C6 which has suffered a lot of electrical issues in the same period as well - ABS, Steering position sensor, new alternator, parking brake sensor, anti-pollution sensor, and heated seat failure...

I foolishly used to think there had been an EMP event in my locality to cause so many failures in the cars' electricity but then I remembered they are Italian and French.

Strange... The reg no shown on the car in the photos does not work on the gov.uk website when trying to check the mot history and status...
