Seems suspiciously cheap

Strange... The reg no shown on the car in the photos does not work on the gov.uk website when trying to check the mot history and status...

You're quite correct. Unless there was a private plate on it previously and it's just gone back to this?

Come on folks, don't knock a 10k manual 4200 because it has a few "issues". It's not as if he's trying to sell it at 16k. It is what it is, and at that price will find a sympathetic buyer who can improve on it if so wished.

Totally agree, if it's mechanically sound and not a "cat" car (1/4 panel respray) then why not? I would. Its crazy what they will give a cat category for though, example no1.

The description of just a bumper repair is not strictly correct judging by the pictures. The bonnet needs a respray, washer cover missing, why is the offside headlight out (broken fixings?) and what is wrong with the boot lid? It looks like it is raised but the shutline to the bumper is small and I am assuming this is the correct spacing.

To be fair, the boot just looks like it's open, the rest is superficial.

looks lovely to me at that price. There is NO maserati down here where I live for less than 20K. for 10 i'd buy it, not touch a thing and run it as a daily until values sneaked up, then do a full tidy.

I am sure this has been around for a while in Northumberland. If not something very similar at their place.
Anyway may be off to Beamish (Chester Le Street) on Tuesday if so it is not much further - I may take a peek

Google TVRGlen for an idea of what this guy is like. Some people have had pretty bad experiences others arehappy dealing with him.

He also bought aanother med blu non-cat car with an oil leak earlier this year from Copart in Bath. Overpaid on that car and will be lucky to make his money back. It looked like at the right price (say 5-6k) it could have been a project car like Phil's that was left behind in NZ. Instead I recall he paid about 9k incl Copart's commission.

As to the car in question, it may be ok but I suspect his comments of cheap fix are the tip of the iceberg and I personally think this is rich money for what will still be a cat car.

He's advertising the engine for the blu med car on ebay for £4995 !
