Hi guys, things are looking up seems there will be a 4200 on my drive ready for Llandow.
But I have a couple questions, as you know I'm an Alfa man coming from a 155 twinny to a 156 2.0 twinny the over to a 156 2.5v6 to a 147 GTA to a 2.4 159 TI, I do regular sevicing o my cars fluids, filters, discs, pads cambelts, etc etc and the odd busso rebuild,
I normally service my cars at the half way marker of official service intervals, so for every official service my car has it also has an additional service.

Now this will not change when I get the new Italian on my drive but what I do need to know is. I only use Selenia oils, when I service my cars. Wether you agree or disagree that Selenia is the best oil to use in an Alfa is not what I'm asking, but I do need to know what oil I should be using in the 4200 also need to know what the recommended brake fluid is along with clutch fluid if different from the brake and lastly the gearbox oil.

Thanks in advance guys.CT

Shell helix 5w 40 is the recomended oil for the 4200 and gransport , brake fluid is not as crucial so long as you dont mix it , some including me use a racing fluid , with a higher boiling temp ,

Shell for the 4200's, but no brand mentioned for the GS's as far as I can see from the owners manual. It states 5W40, but goes on to say that either full or semi-synthetic is okay?

Shell must have refused to supply the GS oil for free, hence no product endorsement!

I had a feeling it would be the shell, but wasn't 100% sure, do we know if the brake and clutch fluid is shared?,and what about the gearbox oil?

Very much doubt brake and clutch would share fluid on a CC, but stand to be corrected!

Motul RBF is it Loz?

This from the GS OM, so please treat the details below as an assumption that it's the same for the 4200?.......

CC Gearbox - 75W/90. Recommends ROTRA LSX.
CC system oil - Type CHF. Recommends AGIP CHF.
Brakes - Synthetic Dot 4. Recommends AGIP Dot 4 plus.

Yes ofc it's a CC so not going to Shair the same fluid as the brakes, numpty moment for me sorry.
Thanks emtee I'd go with the same assumumtion unless corrected otherwise,
Just looking to stock up for when the new car comes in need to sort out some filters aswell, this way I know exactly what the service condition is and what is in the car.
Just a bit anal I suppose but it's what I do with my cars.

Aye that it is, mind you, you need to use a good lube to keep the nuts ...and bolts from seizing aswell.
