Silicone hoses for 4200 / GS

I had a major coolant loss this week, and had to have my car towed home from work after hours.
Don't know which hose let go, so I've ordered the lot. At 14 years and 160,000 km it is obviously time.
I have just emailed Roose Motorsport in the UK and offered to send my original set to them so they can make our model available.
They have the 3200GT set advertised.
Let's see if they will take up my offer, or if they need a guaranteed purchaser for the first set.

Seem to recall Newton wen through this whole scenario with his first 4200 but it was all for nought...
A quality silicon hose kit would be a boon for our cars imo...

I emailed Roose about a GT hose set. They wanted me to send them every hose on the car for them to match up. Bit of a no go for a serviceable car bar 4 inches of 25mm hose in the Vee. But I cannot advocate more that silicone hoses with at least 3 plies are the best for these cars. The stuff Maserati used is OK for Fiats but not top end cars. Below is a picture of blue silicone against OEM. 60250

The very reason I said "quality"...
Silicon hoses , even when they try matching them with OEM, will often not fit where space is tight.
I'll never buy budget again. I ve done this on many a bike, and even using premium brands, had to resort to mixing OEM hose where the silicon equivalents are simply too fat for the space available...
If (Roose or whoever) are serious about it they need the application physically in front of them, to understand where the hoses are going... Surely this is the only way they can guarantee a fit. I hate buying cr4p that doesnt work...

Having recently fitted a full Roose kit to my Assetto Corsa (coolant and boost) the quality and fitment is excellent.

Good news, Roose Motorsport have responded they will gladly accept my old set of GS hoses to make silicone sets available for the 4200 / GS.
Still waiting on my factory hoses to arrive, then I'll send my old ones off.
I'll ask them to advise me when they have made their new hoses, and announce it to you all.

indeed I did but only ended up with the sample ones for my car after 6 months of anxt and stress as I got very misled by an old hippy who thought he was onto his retirement! Good luck with them, I genuinely hope you have more success than me. I will take a full set for sure for the GS.

I'm sure they maybe slight differences across the production.
For sure the early classico with the header tank position compared to the later 03MY for example, and any other potential changes Maserati decided to do along the journey!

The header tank pipes are I believe all just straight hose of various bores so that shouldn’t be an issue to simply supply to the longest in each case.

If there was demand for the 3200 to produce, you would think the demand for the 4200/GS would be greater.

I like to change hoses at 10 years to save embarrassment; the GS is 14 so really needs doing IMHO

Recently fitted Roose kit (coolant & turbo) to my 3200GT, including their s/s clamps. Couldn't be happier...

Hello community, realize this is an almost year old thread , but did you have any success with Roose producing the silicone hose set? Thanks

I was actually speaking to Paul at Roose earlier this week as he is just about to launch a set of lined oil breather hoses for the 3200 - some of which are no longer available from maserati.
He mentioned he is still really keen to receive a set of 4200 hoses so he can make the necessary moulds. In return he will provide a new set of silicon hoses.

Seeing my engine is presently on rebuild , probably a good time for me to latch onto this if everyone is happy for me to take the reigns so to speak , i can see a group buy about to be set up .....................thoughts please
