Do yourself a BIG favour, chuck them!

appreciate you are not a fan but is your view based on recent or historic experience? because there are several on here that have commented recently that the yellow pads are actually pretty good with clean bite from cold, just a tad dusty.

Recent nasty experience on a friends 911, straight over a roundabout ZERO bite when cold !

Not suffered with that on either red or yellow compounds. Both work perfectly well from cold; they are even better when hot, but they work as well as the standard pads from stone cold.

I've just spoken with brakeparts.co.uk and they're willing to offer a discount on these pads to our members. Anyone wishing to buy the pads should call 01706 666999 and speak to Steve or Sarah. You will then be able to buy front and rear pads for £56.57 including delivery (Scotland may be more and international will certainly be more).

I'm currently using these on my yellow GS and really rate them. A new set is going on with new discs for both cars.

These look a good deal, will get myself a set.

Don't compare the old EBC brakes with the current offering, they were useless. The new (ish) yellow dots are superb, loads of bite even when cold and almost fade free. I had a set on my W8 and know of quite a few performance car owners that have switched from DS2500s but not sure they are 3 times the pad that comparison with this price would need.

MAF,

I've sent you a PM regarding transportation of approximately 4-5 people's discs to Edinburgh. I can collect tomorrow or Thursday.

Room for one more? If they're here I'm in Edinburgh everyday.

I will get as many in as practically possible. I have worked out that I can carry approximately 350kg maximum in the car, after my usual kit and myself.

If the total disc weight for 4 discs is around 40kg then I could carry up to 9 lots. This would be the car at its max permitted weight though.

Yes, the early EBC Red weren't the best but the new compound has a good reputation and excellent reviews.
Each to their own though, pads are such a personal choice and there are so many out there to pick through

I think the truth lies between your words. They used to be cr@p, now they're improved.

I fitted new type yellows all round before the Modena trip on very tired disks and have no issues whatsoever with no fade on a very quick descent of Stelvio and Autodroma De Modena etc... Just known for being very dusty!

No problem, would be good to see who else is in the Edinburgh area?

I'd imagine not as they will all be boxed in the same one's unless Mark has ordered 50 plain boxes? :D
