ok then - now to the bikes I'd like thread.
A 2005 Aprilia RSVr factory.
I've ridden a non-factory one of these and really liked it - the lion graphics and blue anodised wheels are flipping gorgeous.

Hate this thread as it keeps tempting me to buy a motorbike, there is a auction house in the North that always do bike sales and some classics turn up on there occasionally (not that I look ;) )

Enniskillen Auctions
Look at the boat thread, think of the fun you can have on a dream boat. Then come back to this thread and think of the fun you can have for a tenth maybe twentieth of the cost....

Does that help?

I'd toyed with the idea of a Honda SP2 and went to view a few - people are asking silly money though i just looked on eBay and saw this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304132098014?hash=item46cfaf87de:g:FCEAAOSwDD1hMk0w hmmmm...the Aprilia is nicer in my view.

My pal bought a Mille RSV SP back in the day. There were only 150 ever made; definitely one he should have kept!

These V990 rotax engined machines are a nightmare to name..
They made RSV's and "R"s, Factory's, SP's..Gen 1, Gen 1.5 and Gen 2's...
The main thing is to get the equipment. Ohlins all round, Brembo stoppers, (radials too...) and forged lightweight Oz racing rims..all for a bag of chips and lift to the pub...!

I love big Aprillias but I much prefer the later ones with twin pipes, especially carbon Akrapovics. I’d rather have a Maserati and an Aprillia RSV than a Ferrari and a Ducati. I like oddball choices.

A Benelli 750Sei I do believe. The guy I bought my GS750 off was selling because he’d just bought a Sei. It’s a pity Honda didn’t make it instead; they would have sold 1000s.

Straight 6? Bonkers!

And with a low c of g, it handled incredibly well, smooth as silk, sounded amazing.
BUT, rubbish wiring, switch gear and electrics, terrible finish, typical Italian vehicle really!!
Point of interest, duplex final drive chain as standard only on 900, not 750.

hehehehe. I had a Monster. It dissolved. First symptom was it cutting out as the side stand switch (because we don't need to design a lubrication system that works in other situations other than upright!) started corroding!

Still loved it. Always wanted a Tornado but that was never really an option

I had an electrical issue with the Benelli that drove me mad till I stripped the tape off the wiring harness to discover that some of the individual wires’ insulation had dissolved to ‘powder’. Had to replace that part of the loom!
Tornado looks amazing. As do most Italian bikes to be fair.

On my trip down from north Yorkshire, I saw this van. Obviously a dedicated race goer. On the rear was Scott Russell, Foggy and Aaron Slight, the side panels, Max Biaggi, Ralf Waldman, Vale, Sete Gibernau, Capirex and many others. 91428
