Sorted a few bits and bobs out and am pleased with this now. Should really get the wheels re-chromed at some point or were they just painted back in the day?

I forgot to mention that I passed my bike test a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed the training. I would recommend it if you are bored and want to learn a new skill.
Well done Martyn, riding a bike makes you more aware on the road. I think everyone should get to CBT level at least.
So, when do you pick up the Ducati scrambler?

Or...
Get a cheap 4T road legal MXer and ride the green lanes locally....(look up you r local TRF group...)
Although it requires some riding gear (boots, body armour etc) it's a great way to learn bike handling skills whilst having some fun away from cagers, and street furniture that wants to kill you. Wet winter months are the most fun IMO !

Had a CRF230 that I converted to road use. Put indicators, better headlight, and most importantly two sprockets, front one with an extra tooth and a smaller rear. Increases the top end but makes the gearbox more usable.

Use that 4 months to buy and run a *** .... chances are that new riders will drop or damage a bike in the first few months ;)
Exactly what my mate did. 15 years since on a bike, told him to get a snotter...
He’s a short ar5e so got a Yam 350 something or another.
Dropped it twice, no confidence so it’s for sale.
2k I suspect he’ll lose by time he gets rid of it and all his gear...

It happens. I did my biking. I sort of miss it but not enough to have that discussion with Mrs C
