Solar trickle charger question

I won’t be using the QP over winter much as got an old RAV to do all the salty road stuff. I’ve got a solar charger that I use in the RAV over the summer and it works great. Question is that because the front cigarette socket isn’t permanent live can I use the odb socket or is there a way of getting the wires through to the boot?

Getting a wire into the boot would be rear seat back out. You could then feed from the rear shelf into the boot and down to the battery. Panel could then be placed on rear shelf.
Can't help with the obd suggestion.

This seems the best way so far. The charger has an odb socket connection. It’s only 1.8 amps so should be ok.

Am searching for this model with OBD connection. Could you possibly post a link? Thanks

Well, gone to plug the charger in but where is the obd port? Looked under the steering wheel where I presumed it would be. Opened the drop down door under the wheel and the one to the right but still can’t see it.

Get your head in the footwell and look up. It's obvious when you see it.

Assuming the same as the GT!

Just an update to this. Finally found it. You have to open the door to the right of the dash, then remove the 2 screws to drop down the whole unit then you find the obd behind it.
