Mine is a 2016 so free road tax. I bought it from a private seller, but it has BMW parts and labour warranty until March 2022 and this can be extended for about £1000 per year. The amount you will save buying privately will probably get you 3 years of BMW warranty.

I'd definitely keep the BMW warranty rolling if you can.
Unfortunately many private cars for sale are out of BMW warranty/extended warranty and once out, always more expensive to pop back in, if at all.

Love the i8, mate has been tempted for a while now he is back contracting I suspect he might push the button, can't get over the fact from the rear it looks like it is trying to expel an 911 from it rear end ;)

I personally think the i8 is an event albeit a very different experience to the 4200. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to hearing about your ownership.

Sorry haven't replied sooner, been having too much fun with the car! I'll get back to everyone who sent a message about the spare parts.View attachment 85160
One of the best looking cars to come out of BMW. Although as one of the car magazines pointed out, the lower back bumper and lower lights design look a little unfortunate. Many may already be aware, but once explained, it's something that can't be unseen!
