That is lovely externally but I couldn't live with those seats - don't mind the tech but the light blue is horrible IMO, I do miss my Spyder
My sentiments exactly. And to think that even the seat backs got the blue lemonade treatment.... Time has not been kind to this design choice

Photos are taken at that dodgy dealer in Cardiff... maybe library ones?

Yep, thought they were......Simon the chap was called.....Was on TV for his doggy dealing. Obviously this is now a private sale and may be OK. That is a lot of car for the money if OK though.

Strangely, that was my reaction when I was first offered it to buy. But in the flesh, particularly with roof down and sun shining, it looks wonderful and I was ultimately convinced. I had the car for nearly four years and did two wonderful European trips in it
Well... Let's hope the original delivery customer is not a forum regular... For clearly they are bipolar. The roof option was a very astute choice (I wish mine had this), but you'd be forgiven for thinking he (yes, conscious bias) took his 18 year old Thai mistress into the showroom, and as Tiffany was shut that afternoon.... Let her play with crayons on the dealers spec sheet.

As you say, it’s not for everybody perhaps, but it was the GS launch interior I believe, and lots liked it and still do. Don’t forget, it’s an Italian V8 so it’s not supposed to be boring to drive or look at. And the Italians are supposed to know a bit more about style than most. Perhaps better to judge once seen in the flesh

I do wonder if he may be trading under a private sale??

The Rapid (and especially the S) is a strange car but I keep being tempted. I think it is a beautiful way to create a 4 door Aston. Not a limo as its length would suggest but a wonderful place to be. My theory is it was designed as a DB9 for those that needed a bit more space.

Dave

You've compared

2 seat Sports Coupe (AM Vantage)
vs
4/5 seat Saloon (Giulia QV)

and...

2 seat grand-tourer Jag XKR
vs
super-mini Fiat 500

It's like comparing your favourite steak with your favourite ice-cream, they're both food but quite different. :)

As for yeh comments about Old vs New Aston. Pah. I'd rather drive a car than a museum piece.
A Jag XKR wouldn't hold a light to an old Maser 3200..
Another reason why Aston are in such financial sh*t is nobody wants to buy them! I wonder why. bit like JLR

Old Astons are lovey though, the DB2/4's, even Jag E types at a push

Agreed, unless you live somewhere hilly that is stunning. Good spot.

Another contender would be the Bentley Flying Spur Speed I had until the beginning of this year. The speed was the updated 603bhp model capable of over 200mph with 4wd and the most luxurious car I ever owned. Mine was an ex Bentley press car so was fully loaded with every option (£185k new) and I paid £29k for it. Kept it 2 years and sold it for what I paid. Loved the car but never used it as it was just too big. Did love it though!
